Global Skills extends our sincere thanks to CEO and Founder of Byamee Institute and NESA training partner, Simon Jovanovic for facilitating an organisation wide series of in-depth, deeply engaging and impactful training sessions for our staff.
Over a period of 8 weeks, Simon assisted all Global Skills staff in:
Gaining an awareness of Aboriginal people, culture, knowledge, and values.
Unpacking the historical legacies of colonisation on Aboriginal peoples.
Understanding the current-day matters impacting Aboriginal people; and
Understanding how we can better engage and work with Aboriginal co-workers and the community.
Simon shared his story, experiences and knowledge in small groups sessions, allowing our staff space to ask questions and share thoughts to seek a better understanding.
The feedback from the sessions was overwhelmingly positive.
