Global Skills Director Appointed to Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce
Global Skills Director, Rebecca Nicholls, has been appointed as the Employment Services Representative to the Sydney North and West Employment Region Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce. This appointment comes after 2 rewarding years performing the same role on the Sydney Greater West Local Jobs and Skills Taskforce.
The Local Jobs Program brings together expertise, resources and access to funding at a regional level to focus on reskilling, upskilling and employment pathways for people in the region.
Funded by the Australian Government, the Taskforce supports Australia’s post economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“I am delighted to be appointed to the Sydney North and West Taskforce, representing employment service providers who are at the forefront of supporting job seekers in the region,” Ms Nicholls said.
“The investment by the Government allows the taskforce to develop and implement a local labour market plan and identify projects that boost employment opportunities for people in the Sydney North and West region.”
Key stakeholders involved in the taskforce include employers, training organisations and community organisations.
