National Week of Deaf People 2024

This week, 23-29 September, we’re celebrating National Week of Deaf People in Australia. It’s a week dedicated to recognising and honouring the Deaf community, aligning with International Week of Deaf People and International Day of Sign Languages.

The theme “Sign Up for Sign Language Rights” underscores the importance of weaving sign language into everyday life, from inclusive education to job opportunities, and advocating for official recognition and support across Australia for Auslan, the sign language of Australia’s Deaf community.

At Global Skills, we’re committed to helping job seekers who use Auslan. We offer Auslan interpreters for appointments, job interviews, and more to ensure smooth and effective communication.

For more information about our Auslan interpreter support services, please contact our Disability Employment Services team at 02 4732 1469 or email support@globalskills.com.au
