Is Your Business Eligible for a Wage Subsidy?

Are you looking to hire staff? Your business may be eligible to receive up to $10,000 towards the cost of recruitment, including training and wages.

Government funded wage subsidies are offered through a range of initiatives for eligible Global Skills job seekers.

Wage subsidies are for new and ongoing employment positions. They can be for full-time, part-time, casual, traineeship or apprenticeship positions.

To be eligible for a wage subsidy, your business must:

  • Be registered with an Australian Business Number (ABN)
  • Employ a person registered with Global Skills employment services
  • Ensure the position offered provides ongoing employment, meeting the agreed hours in the wage subsidy
  • Provide a role that meets employment standards such as offering the minimum wage
  • Not be a Government agency at a national, state or territory level

Global Skills provides a free employment service for employers across the Central Coast, Sydney North, Sydney Greater West, Sydney South, Macarthur, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains regions.
