How Kobie Hughes turned her life around

Kobie Hughes says her life wasn’t in the best place when she first visited Global Skills Windsor office. 

Working with Kobie to access services, particularly for mental health, Employment Consultants, Tara and Amanda provided extensive contact and support to help Kobie transition to more positive and independent job search.

“I have come a long way.  Global Skills, along with my family have given me the confidence to move forward,” she said. 

Since June 2020, Kobie has been employed at the Windsor RSL.

“Being financially independent has meant I could save and buy a car, something I didn’t think was possible.

“I am so lucky to have a job where I am happy and the staff are so supportive of each other. It’s true what they say about work being important for your mental health.”
