Transition to Work

Global Skills delivers a personalised, innovative and flexible TtW service that is tailored to your needs. Our experienced team is passionate about working in partnership and supporting young people on their journey to employment. Our offices are welcoming and our Employment Consultants will give you the time and support you need to achieve your goals. We encourage and empower young people to have a say in the services they receive. Young people also help us improve our services through our Youth Committee and Youth Hub.

How will I receive help?

Your dedicated Employment Consultant will help you identify your employment goals and work with you to reach them by:

  • Providing fun and challenging activities, training, work experience and internships to help you develop confidence and skills.
  • Supporting your wellbeing and helping you to overcome personal challenges.
  • Connecting you with relevant community services.
  • Connecting you with education or training including apprenticeships and traineeships.
  • Working with employers to find jobs matched to your goals.
  • Providing ongoing support once you are employed or return to education to ensure success.

How do I access Global Skills' TtW program?

To be eligible for TtW, you need to be:

  • Aged 15–24 and no longer attending school
  • An Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, a New Zealand Special Category Visa or a Nominated Visa (including Temporary Protection Visa or Safe Haven Visa)

Eligibility also depends on other personal circumstances. We can help determine if you qualify for TtW. You do not need to be receiving a Centrelink payment to be eligible. 

Global Skills offers TtW on the Central Coast from 4 full time offices at Gosford, The Entrance, Wyong and Lake Haven. Our team is mobile and we can also meet you in the community.

Inclusive Employment Australia Program: Launching 1 November 2025

The Australian Government’s Inclusive Employment Australia (IEA) program will start on 1 November 2025. Global Skills will be delivering IEA in Hornsby, Baulkham Hills, Parramatta, Auburn, Merrylands, Mount Druitt, Blacktown, Seven Hills, Ryde, Brookvale, Chatswood, Campbelltown, Camden, Narellan, Ingleburn, Farfield, Cabramatta and Wetherill Park. We are excited to expand our services to both participants and employers in these regions.
