Yesterday, we held the second meeting of Global Skills’ Youth Advisory Group, with 5 young people from Gosford and 2 from Wyong in attendance.
Global Skills is the longest serving Sydney based employment services provider. Global Skills is locally owned and operated, and for the past 30 years has built its reputation on acknowledging that our job seekers and employers are as diverse and unique as the communities in which they live and operate.
Our knowledge and connection to the Greater Sydney labour market and employers is our strength. We continue to invest in developing genuine relationships with local employers and complimentary services, including training providers so we can fast-track job seekers into local work.
Global Skills provides intensive, pre-employment support to develop practical skills; and connects our job seekers to education, training and local jobs.
Your dedicated Employment Consultant will work 1:1 with you to understand your strengths, needs, preferences and circumstances. Together, we will build a personal plan that will help you reach your goals.
Our offices are open on a full-time basis so whether you have a scheduled appointment or you need access to our job search centres your Employment Consultant will be available guide you. The Consultant will stay in contact with you, including after you start work if you need.
If you’re on an income support payment through Centrelink, such as JobSeeker, Youth Allowance or Parenting Payment, you are eligible to join Global Skills.

Congratulations to Amelia, a Global Skills Transition to Work participant, for successfully completing the ‘Building the Future’ program, facilitated by CCGT (Central Coast Group Training) and CTQ (Construction Training Qualifications).
Last Wednesday, Global Skills’ Brookvale team and Community Engagement Consultant had the privilege of hosting Amy from the Domestic Violence team at Local Kind Northern Beaches. It was an insightful session where we learned about the support services available in our local area.
