NAIDOC 2024

Yesterday, Global Skills was proud to participate in the Central Coast NAIDOC Community Day, celebrating the rich culture and remarkable achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples with thanks to Nunyara Aboriginal Health CCLHD.

Held at Wyong on Darkinjung Country, the event was a fantastic opportunity for our Central Coast team to engage with the community and demonstrate the support we offer through Global Skills Transition to Work (TtW) and Workforce Australia employment services.

Global Skills TtW Performance Manager Chloe said, “’Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud’ was  felt all day long, through community, stakeholder connections and collaboration with each other. Global Skills left the event with a full heart and feeling proud to be a part of the well planned event.”

NAIDOC Week 2024 runs from 7 – 14 July with the theme,’ Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud & Proud’ which honours the enduring strength and vitality of First Nations culture. Fire is a symbol of connection to Country, to each other, and to the rich tapestry of traditions that define Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
