Global Skills is proud to recognise the women who lead and make a difference in our organisation. The theme for International Women’s Day 2025 is ‘March Forward’, marking 30 years since the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action for gender equality. Congratulations to Matthew on reaching his 6-month employment milestone! He joined Global Skills Disability Employment Services in 2023. Living with a lower limb disability that brought additional health challenges, and a speech impairment, he was eager to work and sought support to identify roles that matched his skills and abilities.

The 47th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival begins this Saturday 14 February. With international performers, parties, theatre, community events, and more, the festival will wrap with the world famous Sydney Mardi Gras Parade on Saturday 1 March.

This Sunday, 2 February, is Physical Disability Awareness Day. Established by Physical Disability Australia in 2023, it’s a day to raise awareness of the many conditions under the umbrella of physical disability and to recognise the valuable contributions people with disability make across all areas of life.
